Same dependable, accurate construction as Foolproof but without micrometer adjustments. Windage and elevation adjustments easily made by loosening screws, moving sight and re-tightening screws. Stop screw provides accurate guide so 5D will return to absolute zero upon detaching and reattaching. Standard hole spacing for easy, secure mounting. 5D-94/36 Model fits Higgins 30/30 Lever; Marin 36 & 336, 94, .44 Mag & 44; Sears 30-30 Lever; Winchester 9422, 64 & 94.

La stessa costruzione affidabile e precisa del Foolproof ma senza regolazioni micrometriche. Le regolazioni di alzo e deriva possono essere facilmente effettuate allentando le viti, spostando il mirino e riavvitando le viti. Una vite di arresto fornisce una guida precisa in modo che il 5D ritorni allo zero assoluto dopo essere stato rimosso e riattaccato. Interasse standard per un montaggio facile e sicuro. Il modello 5D-94/36 si adatta a Higgins 30/30 Lever; Marin 36 & 336, 94, .44 Mag & 44; Sears 30-30 Lever; Winchester 9422, 64 & 94.

Decent Value - Two Cautions (07/05/2010)

Purchased the 5D 94/36 for my 1958 production Model 94. It mounted instantly in the two side-receiver holes on the old rifle.
I did encounter two issues:
1. At the range, I discovered that the sight could not be adjusted low enough in combination with the existing, .290 high original front bead sight. I will have to order a taller front site, likely a Williams Firesight to bring the point of impact down from its present 8-inches high at 100 yds.
2. The screw on the left side which secures the elevation adjustment is too short and with slight over-tightening on my part, stripped the female threads just enough that the screw will no longer start and gain purchase. Thus I cannot tighten to secure elevation. I cured it by substituting a screw about 1/8 longer.

Still, it is an excellent sight for the money if you are prepared to do a little compensating to get set up.

Hello from Germany! Yes, I own this sight now and I am happy!
And- overtightening the fix screw on the side for low or high is a MISUSE and absolutely not necessary! Only fingertight is enough.
Fits to my beloved Winchester 94 Antique, rockstable, and I now schoot much more better than with the original buckhorn-sight.
The Williams sight is worth all the money!

Absolutely foolproof sight. Should have read the previous review though on overtightening the side (elevation) screw. Hard to get the adjustment without "tapping" in needed direction. I'll not overtighten and see what happens. Overall very good value for the price and simple install. Nice thing is all you have to do is change apertures to go from a hunting sight to a target sight.
