Strong, Dependable Replacement For Factory Followers

High-visibility stainless steel follower replaces the factory follower in Remington 870 and 11-87 shotguns. These are turned from a solid piece of stainless-steel bar-stock. This multitasking replacement for your factory-installed magazine follower travels smoother in your magazine tube due to its reduced bearing surface. Won’t break under spring pressure, won’t rust and holds up to years of shooting. Bright stainless steel makes it easy to see how many rounds are left in the magazine tube. Ribbed side and drilled out center hole reduce weight without jeopardizing overall strength. These followers are a slotted design. Available in 12 gauge.

SPECS: Stainless steel. 7⁄8" (2.2cm) diameter, 5⁄8" (1.6cm) thick.

Il follower in acciaio inossidabile ad alta visibilità sostituisce il follower di fabbrica nei fucili Remington 870 e 11-87. Questi sono realizzati da un unico pezzo solido di barra in acciaio inossidabile. Questo sostituto multifunzione per il follower installato di fabbrica scorre più liscio nel tubo del caricatore grazie alla sua ridotta superficie di contatto. Non si rompe sotto la pressione della molla, non arrugginisce e resiste a anni di utilizzo. L'acciaio inossidabile brillante rende facile vedere quanti colpi sono rimasti nel tubo del caricatore. Il lato zigrinato e il foro centrale trapanato riducono il peso senza compromettere la resistenza complessiva. Questi follower hanno un design a fessura. Disponibili in calibro 12.

Vang Comp Follower (04/03/2010)

Got this for my M930spx, Got rid of the cheapo plastic safety and the plastic follower with the VC stainless one. Just takes the doubt out of your combat weapon. A few less things for Murphy to mess with.

Great Replacement Follower (27/08/2011)

Excellent product. The SS follower was easy to replace the factory follower. The quality difference between the original factory follower and this follower is significant. The original was plastic, bright yellow, and flimsy in the tactical 870 I purchased. At the time of purchase I didn't know the tactical 870 was built on the express line of 870's. This replacement is just one of the many additions that needs to be done in order to make the express a more reliable gun.

The only negative I can find is that I prefer the Brownells stainless and aluminum followers but this is also a quality part. Much better than the factory plastic piece.

A good improvement (24/04/2013)

I installed this a few days ago and it is smoother to load shells. You will have to grind off the two demples in the mag tube before incerting the follower. This was no problem using a dremel type tool.

The old original follower was black plastic, could not see it, this one is bright SS, you can tell instantly when the tube is empty.

Excellent Follower (23/05/2015)

Overall this follower is great and highly recommended. It functions so much smoother than the original plastic garbage that comes with the 870. It is important to note that if your 870 have the dimples on the magazine tube, they need to be removed before you can use this follower (by either grinding them off or pressing them out with the proper tool). It is also important to note that this follower will hang up if you're using a tube extension and there is any kind of gap between the guns tube and the extensions tube. If you use a 2 piece tube extension design (tube and nut separate pieces like the Remington branded extensions) be sure to screw your extension all the way down until it contacts the guns tube and then torque the nut. Tube extensions with the nut built onto them (Nordic, Carlsons, Choat, etc) may have problems with this follower (or any other aftermarket follower). If you're not comfortable working on guns, then have a qualified gunsmith fit this part and remove the tube dimples for you.

Not much to say about this one. It just works. Vang comp is now offering followers that are slotted for dimpled 870s. I have the brownells stainless follower in one 870 and this one in another. I prefer the vang comp because of the hole that is easy to feel when wearing gloves but they are both quality and reliable.
