RANSOM INTERNATIONAL GRIP INSERTS Do not use hard grip inserts or 3D-printed plastic grip inserts for your Master Series Ransom Rest. Hard inserts damage the gun by generating destructive recoil energy that travels through the frame and barrel. Not only that, most hard or 3D-printed inserts are poorly engineered and fail to replicate human-like recoil, rendering any test data invalid. Hard grip inserts will not provide repeatable test results to your hand and the end user of the firearm. The grip inserts are specifically designed to match the durometer of the human hand. The inserts absorb the first few milliseconds of shot before the machine can even mechanically recoil. Look at the photo attached here: You can see the bullet has left the barrel. The machine has not come out of a lowered battery position, and the slide has not come out of lockup. The first few milliseconds of vibration and recoil are absorbed by the insert before the machine can even respond. Why will a hard insert damage your gun? The simplest, most direct answer is that physics teaches us that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Therefore, Chuck Ransom always said vibration and recoil cannot be stopped; they can only be repeatedly controlled. If these forces do not have somewhere to travel, they will find a way to go. Just as lightning and water will find a way to travel and move, so will vibration and recoil. The inserts are specifically designed to act like the human hand, absorbing these forces and not transferring them into the gun. The Ransom rest insert absorbs vibration and harmonics, then properly transfers the energy into the rest to recoil as a human does coaxially. This whole unit functions similarly to how your hand absorbs the recoil and vibration. The grip inserts and machine, as a pair, are specifically designed to absorb this. This damage may not be seen right away, but it accrues with each shot. A hard insert will decrease the life of the barrel and gun, and it may possibly cause injury or death if something occurs. A hard insert will not be duplicatable to the end user. Whether destructive testing or accuracy testing, you must mimic the human, or your test is flawed. If a hard or 3d printed insert worked. Then every gun manufacturer would already be using them, and there would be no need for a Ransom Rest company. Take note and caution, many have tried, and many have found out the hard way. Caution: Don’t use hard or 3D-printed inserts.
Attenzione agli inserti rigidi
