The MK18 is the latest in the line of Geissele Super Modular rails and is specifically made to interface with the Arca-Swiss Quick Release System. This new handguard is based on the MK16 M-LOK Super Modular Rail, offering a small diameter and overall height creating a slim profile for competition shooters. The flat base of the MK18 features an “Arca-Style” 35mm wide form with a 45 degree dovetail, that allows quick mounting to an Arca-Swiss Quick Release mounting base, sliding into any position along the rail. The MK18 features Geissele’s proprietary 2.25” long barrel nut that interfaces with the receiver and creates a platform that can be trusted to be straight and true the entire length of the free float rail. The 16” long MK18 is 3D precision machined using 7000 Series Aluminum due to its strong, rigid and lightweight properties. Utilizing Magpul’s M-LOK technology at the major 3 quadrants (left, right and bottom), as well as the upper 45’s gives the MK18 unprecedented modularity and ability to be customized. The MK18 Super Modular rail is finished in a durable and long lasting Type 3 Hardcoat Anodize available in either Black or Geissele’s DDC finish. Il MK18 è l'ultima novità nella linea di rail Super Modular di Geissele, progettato specificamente per interfacciarsi con il sistema di rilascio rapido Arca-Swiss. Questo nuovo handguard si basa sul MK16 M-LOK Super Modular Rail, offrendo un diametro ridotto e un'altezza complessiva che crea un profilo snello per i tiratori competitivi.
La base piatta del MK18 presenta una forma “Arca-Style” larga 35mm con un incastro a 45 gradi, che consente un montaggio rapido su una base di montaggio Arca-Swiss, scivolando in qualsiasi posizione lungo il rail. Il MK18 è dotato di un dado del barilotto lungo 2.25” brevettato da Geissele, che si interfaccia con il ricevitore e crea una piattaforma che può essere considerata dritta e vera per l'intera lunghezza del rail free float.
Il MK18, lungo 16”, è lavorato con precisione 3D utilizzando alluminio della serie 7000, grazie alle sue proprietà forti, rigide e leggere. Utilizzando la tecnologia M-LOK di Magpul nei tre quadranti principali (sinistro, destro e inferiore), così come nei 45° superiori, il MK18 offre una modularità senza precedenti e la possibilità di personalizzazione.
Il rail Super Modular MK18 è rifinito con un anodizzazione di tipo 3, durevole e a lunga durata, disponibile in nero o nella finitura DDC di Geissele.
Il Geissele Super Modular Rail MK18 è compatibile con fucili AR15 in conformità con le specifiche militari.
