The Gunner profile brings the balance of the rifle back towards the shooter's body, limiting fatigue, and allowing for shooting, training, or hunting all day long. Manufactured in-house in Greater Cincinnati, Ohio, Faxon barrels are fully stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and 11-degree target crowned to ensure superior accuracy. Quality is imbued into Faxon Firearms barrels from the beginning of the manufacturing process. Faxon Match Series Barrels are made of 416-R Stainless Steel, given 5R rifling, and a NP3 (Nickel Teflon) barrel extension. Faxon barrels are Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI) in-house do assure the greatest quality for a lifetime of service. Each barrel goes through a battery of tests at each operation until finished in Nitride and final inspected. All barrels are individually checked for headspace with precision, custom-hardened PTG gauges.
