At the heart of the rifle is its iconic hardened brass receiver, where the Eagle Scout Award Medal is engraved on the right side and selectively nickel plated for striking contrast. An American-style scroll pattern surrounds the medal and continues forward past the side loading gate. Adjacent to the medal, a scrolling banner reads Scouting America. The left side of the receiver is adorned with a highly detailed portrait of a majestic bald eagle, also selectively plated in nickel. Intertwined with the scrollwork is a banner bearing the pledge, “To This I Pledge My Sacred Honor,” the closing line recited at every Eagle Court of Honor and a powerful reminder of both achievement earned and responsibility accepted. The genuine American walnut stocks elevate the rifle further, featuring intricately engraved designs hand-painted in full color. On the buttstock, a portrait of a bald eagle’s head appears above one of America’s most enduring symbols: a bald eagle soaring in full flight. Completing the design is the timeless phrase, “Once an Eagle, Always an Eagle.” The forearm showcases historic variations of the Eagle Scout badge, culminating in the Centennial version introduced in 2012 to mark 100 years of the Eagle Scout rank.
