Smooth, Top Grain Leather-U.S. Made

Gorgeous, handmade, smooth leather bench bags that allow rifle to slide freely during recoil. Made from 3-3½ oz., top grain cowhide, finished in a beautiful cork color. Bag bottoms made from same leather but sueded for a good grip on rest or bench. DuPont nylon stitching won t rot or mildew. Bags with a C sufix have a smooth sliding, Cordura bag with a suede base and tie-down tabs to stay in position on the rest. Brass eyelets won t corrode or abrade the tie-down, Superb! NOTE: Bags shipped empty. Fill with sand or lead shot that you provide.Heavy Bottom Rabbit Ear Rear Bag's extra thick bottom sets flat on the bench. Slopes to match stock angle; ears prevent side shift.

Magnifiche borse da banco in pelle liscia, fatte a mano, che permettono al fucile di scivolare liberamente durante il rinculo. Realizzate in cuoio di prima qualità da 3-3½ oz., rifinite in un elegante colore sughero. I fondi delle borse sono realizzati con la stessa pelle ma scamosciati per garantire una buona presa sul supporto o sulla panca. La cucitura in nylon DuPont non marcisce né ammuffisce. Le borse con il suffisso C hanno una parte in Cordura che scivola facilmente, con base in camoscio e linguette per essere fissate saldamente sul supporto. Gli occhielli in ottone non si corrodono né consumano le linguette di fissaggio, Superbi! NOTA: Le borse vengono spedite vuote. Riempire con sabbia o pallini di piombo che dovrete fornire voi. La borsa Heavy Bottom Rabbit Ear Rear Bag ha un fondo extra spesso che si posa piatto sulla panca. Inclinata per adattarsi all'angolo del calcio; le orecchie impediscono lo spostamento laterale.

Beautifully Made but Takes Time to Fill (05/02/2010)

This is a well made product and the woman who makes it even signs the enclosure. However, it takes about an hour to fill one bag. I used fine beach sand ( Florida) and dried the sand in an oven before use. Have a variety of small funnels on hand and a Phillips screwdriver to tamp the sand into place. At today's labor rates, it would be better to pay extra UPS/Fed Ex to have the bag filled at the factory. Other than that, you get a full leather bag made in the USA that will last a lifetime.

I am very happy with this rest. It's well made with very high quality leather. As stated, it was time consuming to fill but well worth the effort. I used weighted polyurethane pellets like used to stuff bean bags because they don't retain moisture nor do they mildew. A 2lb bag was plenty to fill it as well as the owl ear front rest bag I also purchased.

Just a comment on filling them- I bought a 70 lb bag of sand at Home Depot, $7.50

Run the sand through a screen to get the fine heavy sand. Filling can be a bit tedious, take an air nozzle and blow air through the filler access to expand the leather before and periodically during filling it.
