Self-centering rear ghost ring with large, .122" I.D. aperature for lightning quick target acquisition. Formed steel with elongated cooling slots protects your hand from burns. Provides a secure, non-slip, grasping surface, and provides maximum heat dissipation. Front blade with side guards protects the blade and prevents snagging. Each Heatshield should be custom fit. If you do not have the proper tools or do not feel comfortable fitting the heatshield to your firearm, please enlist the services of your local gunsmith. ATI is not responsible for any damage caused by Improper Installation. Fits Most 12, 16, 20 Gauge and .410 pump shotgun barrels. Heatshields should not be used on Mossberg Mariner or Remington Marine Coat Shotguns.

La lama anteriore con protezioni laterali protegge la lama e previene l'aggancio. Ogni Heat Shield dovrebbe essere adattato su misura. don't waste your time or money on this piece of junk. It twist very easily, rib hits pump action wood, won't clamp securely at rear. All in all a poor design. But you get what you pay for.MY ADVISE DONNOT BUY IT OR YOU WILL BE SORRY. [...]

Good shield (27/03/2014)

This heat shield worked out great on my 870 tactical. You do have to do a little bit of adjustments, but as long as you follow the directions you'll be fine. Shot some slugs and buckshot with it on and it doesn't move at all. It's on the gun really good. Not sure why other people have issues with this heat shield. Best $20 I spent and I am really fussy with how my firearms look, and my shotgun looks great with this on and it really does save your hands from getting burnt

Great Improvement for an Old Dog (30/04/2018)

I bought an old Western Field (Noble 60) 16ga at a gun show for $100.I shortened the barrel to 18 1/2 inches and took a pair of Channel Locks with rubber jaw covers and gently squeezed the heat shield to reduce it's diameter till it slid on the barrel nice and tight.

One of the front mounting holes was clear behind the magazine tube to barrel mount so I squeezed it tight and clamped it with the screw.

It fits nice and tight and has not moved.
