EGW is excited to be one of the few to offer a machined from solid steel thumb safety. EGW saw a need for a cleaner, more solid design as a result of consistent failures of inferior cast and MIM thumb safeties currently on the market. The only way to keep the safeties as straight as possible is to heat treat the steel and then machine it in the hardened condition. The thumb safety is serrated for better gripping capability. Both paddles are machined from solid blocks of heat treated steel. Using their swiss screw machines, EGW manufactures the hammer pins, shortened flat headed .110 sear pin, and our Patent Pending sleeve. The parts are all heat treated. The ambi joint is machined and flat. Not tapered which tends to work out and loosen over time. The sleeve joins each side inside the frame tangs. The grip safety rides on the round sleeve and is not influenced when operating the safety. The sleeve prevents the safety from expanding where the sides join. The sleeve functionally makes each side longer for more secure operation and less flex. The t-slot on the right hand side prevents the safety from walking out. No need to relieve your right hand grips for the safety. This thumb safety still requires fitting for proper function in your 1911 and is not a drop in part. EGW è entusiasta di essere uno dei pochi a offrire una sicurezza per il pollice realizzata in acciaio solido. Dopo aver osservato la necessità di un design più pulito e solido a causa di continui fallimenti delle sicurezze per il pollice in fusione e MIM attualmente sul mercato, EGW ha sviluppato questa soluzione innovativa.
Caratteristiche principali:
- Realizzata in acciaio solido e trattata termicamente per una maggiore resistenza.
- Design serrato per una migliore presa.
- Entrambi i paddles sono fresati da blocchi solidi di acciaio trattato termicamente.
- Utilizzo di macchine a vite svizzere per la produzione di perni del martello e del perno del grilletto.
- Giunto ambidestro fresato e piatto, non conico, per evitare allentamenti nel tempo.
- La sicurezza del grip scorre su un manicotto rotondo, senza influenzare il funzionamento della sicurezza.
- Il manicotto previene l'espansione della sicurezza dove si uniscono i lati.
- Il t-slot sul lato destro impedisce alla sicurezza di fuoriuscire.
- Non è necessario modificare le impugnature destra per la sicurezza.
Questa sicurezza per il pollice richiede ancora un adattamento per un funzionamento corretto nel tuo 1911 e non è un pezzo "drop-in".
