If you are using the longer, heavier bullets in your AR-15, then you need a Sinclair AR-15 Single Shot Follower. The longer, heavier bullets are normally loaded longer than magazine length. The Sinclair AR-15 Single Shot Follower positions the 223 Remington cartridge loaded with longer bullets correctly for smooth feeding into the chamber. Once a round is fired, the bolt retracts and locks behind the follower in the empty/loading position. No need to take your magazine apart! It takes only a few seconds to install the Sinclair Follower on top of the existing follower. It can be removed just as quickly. This follower addresses many of the problems with existing single shot followers on the market. The satin finished anodized aluminum wears better than the plastic followers and is easily noticeable in the magazine. Works perfectly in GI metal magazines and Brownell magazines. Will not work in any of the inexpensive, plastic magazines we tested. Will work with 450 SOCOM and 450 Bushmaster.

Funziona perfettamente nei caricatori in metallo GI e nei caricatori Brownells. Non funziona in nessuno dei caricatori in plastica economici che abbiamo testato. Funziona con 450 SOCOM e 450 Bushmaster.

Used To Single feed Hornady 75 gr. A max,In A Mossberg MVP Predator, Worked great, also seemed to make it easier to ease the case out.

Works perfectly for Bushmaster .450 (02/11/2013)

Using in metal Bushmaster .223 mags for Bushmaster .450 rifle. It does not work with the Magpul or Tapco plastic mags, but then again the .450 won't load in those because of the curved tops.

Bought this for my custom build Precision AR-15. With my custom hand load .223 with 77 grain bullets, that is way too long (C.O.A.L) to fit in the standard length magazine. This was the answer to my little dilemma.

Very unreliable (01/07/2017)

This follower led to several jams in my competition service rifle when used in several different magazines. It would not consistently chamber the round and on two occasions it allowed the bullet to get on top of the bolt and get stuck, requiring lots of time and effort to break them free. Finally threw it away when the back side wore down and would no longer hold the bolt open. I'd look elsewhere for a reliable follower
