Premium, No-Fail Features Plus Additional Rounds

Built to the very highest standards for the no-fail performance competitive and self-defense shooters demand. Feed lips are roll-formed and polished, not die cut, for added strength, and Chip’s follower design provides flawless feeding with semi-wadcutters and hollow points. Powerful spring of proprietary, heat-treated Rocket Wire further ensures reliable feeding, even when left fully loaded and seated in a pistol for extended periods. Removable plastic base pad with full, front-to-back engagement, is built to withstand continual use, and numbered witness holes on both sides of the body provide a fast, visible round count. Long-body 10-round model has base pad that wraps around exposed portion of magazine that extends beyond mag well. Power Plus models have an advanced anti-tilt follower for even more stable support of the round stack—extra insurance that every round feeds, first to last. Replacement Power Mag Springs and Followers available separately.

Le labbra di alimentazione sono formate a rulli e lucidate, non tagliate a matrice, per una maggiore resistenza, e il design del seguitoio di Chip assicura un'alimentazione impeccabile con semi-wadcutters e punti cavi. Una potente molla di filo Rocket trattato termicamente garantisce ulteriormente un'alimentazione affidabile, anche quando lasciata completamente carica e inserita in una pistola per lunghi periodi. Il fondello rimovibile in plastica con un completo ingaggio fronte-retro, è costruito per resistere a un uso continuo, e i fori testimoni numerati su entrambi i lati del corpo forniscono un conteggio rapido e visibile dei colpi. Il modello a corpo lungo da 10 colpi ha un fondello che avvolge la parte esposta del caricatore che si estende oltre la cavità del caricatore. I modelli Power Plus dispongono di un avanzato seguitoio anti-inclinazione per un supporto ancora più stabile della pila di colpi - una garanzia in più che ogni colpo venga alimentato, dal primo all'ultimo. Great Magazine! (19/08/2009)

Chip McCormick makes great magazines. I've had mine for just over 10,000 rounds (split between 5) with no real problems. Droping them repeatedly will of course damage the feed lips, but you can expect that with any magazine.

The plastic base pad removes easily for cleaning, but will have to be modified for use with flared magazine wells (it's easy and just requires removing a little plastic to allow full insertion of the magazine).

Planning on use as a backup mag for concealed carry to give a couple extra rounds. I've had a challenge finding a flip top magazine holster with a tab long enough to velcro down the tab after passing over the length of the mag. I prefer this type magazine holster as it looks much like a pocket knife, versus a open top mag holster. I'll keep looking, as the mag performs well.

Superior in competition (02/07/2010)

I own 8 of these which I use in competition shooting. (PPC, IPSC, FIELD etc)
They are reliable and superior to any alternative brand I have tried.
I have somewhere above 100.000 .45acp+P rounds through these and virtually no hickups in my 1911 (Les Baer)
Two of them did not hookup slide when last round emptied, but solved through a mild massage of the feed lips.
I did also polish them for a smoother surface than factory for smoother speed reloading, and it helped me out further in speed.

Not highly, but highest recommended magazines availible...

I needed a 10 round magazine for my Para LTC to use for bowling pin league. I ran 100 rounds through it over the weekend for testing and it performed flawlessly. This will shave 2-3 seconds per station since I no longer have to change magazines.

1st rnd. malf everytime on closed slide (29/01/2011)

So far, not so impressed. The follower is not a "shooting star" type follower, but a shorter follower that causes hollow points and cast swc rounds to nose dive before they make it to the feed ramp on the first round with the slide forward. Slide back reloads and these feed fine. The "correct" follower is a 6$ replacement part. So simply pick one of those up for each mag unless shooting ball only...

BEST MAGS ON THE MARKET... GREAT QUALITY, POSITIVE FEEDING. IF THESE MAGS DONE WORK FOR YOU LOOK AT THE AMMO OR YOUR RAMP...GOOD FLOOR PLATES, COMPLETLEY REBUILDABLE. I HAVE HAD SOME FOR 10 YEARS, ALL I HAVE EVER DONE IS REPLACE THE SPRINGS. I HAVE TRIED MANY OTHER BRANDS, GOOD MAGS ARE NOT CHEAP, CHEAP MAGS ARE NOT GOOD.

I have the chip McCormick 8 round magazines, never had a

single problem with them in my old 70 series colt, didnt matter

what type of ammo was shot through it so I bought 3 of these.

never had so many feed problems, stove piping issues, didnt

matter what type of ammo I tried. and what is the deal with the followers flipping up and the springs, popping out?

Starting to doubt these (26/07/2015)

Have 6 of them for a semi custom SA/Caspian build. Continuing to have a high rate of FTF past normal break in of pistol. Have identified one proven bad mag of the lot which had 1-2 FTF per mag fired and would not lock the slide back. As an objective related comment...I have NEVER had such problems with WC mags. Thinking I should have just stuck with WC at this point.

Best quality 1911 mags (07/11/2016)

This has by far 1 of the best mags ever made for 1911. I have used wilson combat, nighthawk, and tripp. This has a real solid design and the follower do not drag on the bottom of the slide.

The on sale price makes it a very attractive choice.

This mag will also fit a sig tac ops with the factory magwell. No fitment isssues on mine.

Power Plus Magazine, 10-Round (23/01/2018)

I bought 5 of these magazines and from the start they have given me nothing but problems. The followers in them tip over and the rounds jam up. I get one to two jams for each ten rounds. These are junk. I have a new Kimber warrior which has no issues with other magazines. Wilson Combat has made a new version of this mag with a much better designed follower and railed feed lips. Buy those, these are junk.
