Replaces The Factory Aluminum Part

Made from durable, machined steel that wears longer and functions smoother than the factory aluminum part. Increased weight helps cut down muzzle flip. High-lustre blue finish adds a touch of class to your Ruger® Blackhawk® revolver.

SPECS: Steel, high-lustre blued. 4" (10cm) long, ¼" (6.3mm) wide. Fits Blackhawk w/7½", 5½" and 4-5/8" barrels. Older guns, with silver brazed studs, use the ¼" model. New guns use .200" model.

Does not fit (24/01/2010)

This unit did not fit any Ruger single action that I tried it on. If it would fit and lay flush against the barrel as it should, the screw that holds this replacement unit to the barrel would not be long enough to engage the threaded portion in the barrel. The housing hole was not machined deep enough to let the ERH screw protrude far enough to reach the threads in the drilled hole in the barrel. Also, the finish of this product is inferior to Ruger's replacement part with only polished blue on the outer most side of the housing. I give this product a zero.

Finish matched the Ruger very well. The fit could have been a little better, but over-all was easy
enough to deal with.

poorly made product (03/08/2011)

I had to order two of these. I ruined one trying to modify it enough to work. The interior hole is supposed to be counter sunk. It is NOT or at least not done deep or wide enough. Have to put too much pressure on the unit to get it to sit flush with the barrel. Requires taking metal off the base to get it to seat in the frame of the gun properly. I would NOT recommend this poorly made product.

Finish okay, fit poor (20/11/2011)

The housing would not sit flush with the barrel when installed. I had to file quite a bit on the lip that fits into the frame until the housing was mostly flush. Now it has some play in it after I screwed it in. The housing will work, but am fairly disappointed with it.

Great Finish seems to be well built. (28/01/2012)

I ordered this product for my Ruger Blackhawk .357. I had some hesitation before ordering because the description did not list the 6.5" barrel length. I took a chance and what do you know it works great. Overall I am happy with the product, it does not fit absolutely perfect but hey it is just an ejector housing. It looks great and performs as it should. I am happy with the purchase and would buy this product again.

excellent fit and finish (07/08/2013)

This is the second one purchased. This one was an even better fit and finish than the first. Matched perfectly to the Vaquero.

Terrible fit (08/01/2015)

This product when installed had almost a 1/8" gap at the rear where it was miss machined/ground. It was blued nicely but that makes little difference if it doesn't fit right. Brownells, whom is great about these things, refunded my money.

Perfect fit! (23/04/2016)

I noticed other more negative reviews on this item and I was a bit hesitant when ordering. I was surprised at how tight and perfectly it fit my gun with problem whatsoever. It looks great and has a more balanced feel. New model Blackhawk with 4 5/8" bbl.

Incomplete thought (09/08/2018)

Sizing was appropriate in that it fit on gun. However, milling was not complete in that there was flashing of metal that would have needed to be filed off if I kept it. This housing essentially has 4 sided with 3 visible when on gun. Only one side is finished. It isn't about reducing glare to remove a shooting distraction. It simply looks unfinished because it is unfinished. Brownells needs to drop this product.
