They control the fit of their proprietary changeable bolt head and barrel extension with precision CNC machining to allow you the simplest installation possible. Truly future proof! With the design goal of a barrel system that’s easy to replace and upgrade, while cutting the overall action weight down to titanium territory, the new NXT action is machined from a solid billet of aircraft grade 7075 aluminum and finished with a type III hard anodizing for extreme conditions use. The NXT also features a billet aluminum double stack magazine box that can be loaded from the top, and a firing pin blocking, three position safety. Gunwerks rounded out the NXT action with additional features like a 65 degree bolt lift, integrated 20 MOA rail, and toolless serviceable firing pin & bolt head. Building on the success and exceptional ergonomics of their ClymR and Magnus stocks, Gunwerks designed the NEXUS stock with a more vertical grip and enhanced thumb shelf. The tradeoff with these improvements is better fit, but less versatility in how a hand fits the grip to reach the trigger properly. They addressed this by developing a unique adjustable trigger shoe on the Trigger Tech trigger with .5" total forward and rear adjustment. The result is a perfect fit for almost any hand. In addition to the new grip, thumb shelf and leather paneling, Gunwerks maintained the same shallow toeline of the Magnus for excellent interface with a rear bag. The new NEXUS bottom metal interfaces with the stock as a full length ARCA + picatinny bipod rail, with built in trigger guard and accepts Gunwerks' new flush mount, detachable, double stack magazine. The Straight Carbon matte finish showcases exceptional quality hand layup structure of the stock. We integrated a full length ARCA rail into the bottom metal design of the NEXUS stock, plus a picatinny bipod mount and flush QD sling mounts. The billet aluminum, 3 round double stack magazine fits flush in the bottom metal with zero rattle and can be loaded from the top. Magazine length limitations are a constant battle in the REM700 platform. They were able to get away from this with the NEXUS design. Plenty of headroom to seat bullets out to the lands and shoulder support in the magazine to eliminate bullet tips from mashing due to recoil. Gunwerks set out to improve the skin to rifle contact on the NEXUS. Eventually, one option stood out from the rest. Nothing compares to the feel and function of luxurious, chrome tanned leather. The hand stitched leather paneling stands up well to weather and is factory serviceable should it ever need replaced. Il design brevettato in attesa di registrazione di Gunwerks consente all'utente di rimuovere il calcio e la canna con una semplice chiave T25, e di assemblarli nuovamente con una nuova canna e un nuovo calibro – tutto in pochi minuti, senza preoccupazioni per la compatibilità dei pezzi o la sicurezza del gioco della camera. Controllano la compatibilità della loro testa di bullone intercambiabile e dell'estensione della canna con lavorazioni CNC di precisione per garantire l'installazione più semplice possibile. Con l'obiettivo di un sistema di canna facile da sostituire e aggiornare, mentre si riduce il peso complessivo dell'azione a livelli di titanio, la nuova azione NXT è lavorata da un blocco solido di alluminio di grado aeronautico 7075 e rifinita con anodizzazione dura di tipo III per un uso in condizioni estreme. L'NXT presenta anche un caricatore a doppio stack in alluminio che può essere caricato dall'alto, e un sistema di sicurezza a tre posizioni con blocco del percussore.
Gunwerks ha completato l'azione NXT con ulteriori caratteristiche come un sollevamento del bullone a 65 gradi, un rail integrato da 20 MOA e un percussore e testa di bullone senza attrezzi. Costruendo sul successo e sull'ergonomia eccezionale dei loro calci ClymR e Magnus, Gunwerks ha progettato il calcio NEXUS con un'impugnatura più verticale e una mensola per il pollice migliorata. Il compromesso di questi miglioramenti è una vestibilità migliore, ma meno versatilità nel modo in cui una mano si adatta all'impugnatura per raggiungere il grilletto correttamente.
In aggiunta al nuovo grip, alla mensola per il pollice e alla pannellatura in pelle, Gunwerks ha mantenuto la stessa linea del toe del Magnus per un'interfaccia eccellente con un sacchetto posteriore. Il nuovo metallo inferiore NEXUS si interfaccia con il calcio come un rail ARCA + picatinny a lunghezza totale, con guardia del grilletto integrata e accetta il nuovo caricatore a montaggio flush, rimovibile e a doppio stack di Gunwerks. La finitura in carbonio opaco evidenzia la qualità eccezionale della struttura in legno del calcio.
Abbiamo integrato un rail ARCA a lunghezza totale nel design del metallo inferiore del calcio NEXUS, oltre a un supporto bipiede picatinny e montaggi QD flush per slinguaggio. Il caricatore a doppio stack in alluminio da 3 colpi si adatta perfettamente nel metallo inferiore senza alcun rumore e può essere caricato dall'alto. Le limitazioni di lunghezza del caricatore sono una battaglia costante nella piattaforma REM700. Sono riusciti a superare questo problema con il design NEXUS, offrendo ampio spazio per posizionare i proiettili fino alle spalle e supporto per eliminare il rischio di danneggiare le punte dei proiettili a causa del rinculo.
Gunwerks si è impegnata a migliorare il contatto tra la pelle e il fucile sul NEXUS. Alla fine, un'opzione si è distinta dalle altre. Nulla può eguagliare la sensazione e la funzionalità della pelle di lusso, conciata al cromo. La pannellatura in pelle cucita a mano resiste bene alle intemperie ed è riparabile in fabbrica nel caso necessiti di sostituzione.
