The all new MAXIMUS® line is a hybrid between Cutting Edge’s popular high BC MTH® bullets and their extreme trauma producing Raptor™ bullets. This truly unique line is the missing piece in the Cutting Edge Bullets product line offering. Cutting Edge have offered an extensive number of bullet lines to fill every need, but the one thing that was missing was a bullet Designed for high BC AND high trauma. The Maximus® line is a hybrid between CEB’s high BC MTH (Match/Tactical/Hunting)® line and their high trauma Raptor™ line, filling in the missing piece of the CEB product line offering. The Maximus® is also designed to be more destructive and have deeper penetration than the Raptor series. After 4-6” of penetration, 4-8 blades break off and create one large, massive wound channel. The number of blades shed is dependent upon velocity. Eight blades will break off at impact velocities over 2400fps, and below that, 4 larger blades will break off down to 1400fps. They feature a sleek, smooth profile and feature Cutting Edge’s unique SealTite® Band. This patented technology is a band slightly larger than caliber diameter around the body of the bullet which creates a complete seal as the bullet exits the case and maintains that seal until it exits the barrel. This in turn increases accuracy by eliminating gas blow-by and decreasing copper fouling. The Maximus line has also been designed to be heavier than the Raptor series making them more appealing to traditional, lead core bullet users. Cutting Edge ha offerto un numero esteso di linee di proiettili per soddisfare ogni esigenza, ma l'unica cosa mancante era un proiettile progettato per avere sia alta BC che alto trauma. La linea Maximus® è un ibrido tra la linea MTH (Match/Tactical/Hunting)® ad alta BC di CEB e la loro linea Raptor™ ad alto trauma, colmando il vuoto nell'offerta di prodotti CEB.
Il Maximus® è progettato anche per essere più distruttivo e avere una penetrazione più profonda rispetto alla serie Raptor. Dopo 4-6” di penetrazione, 4-8 lame si staccano e creano un grande e massiccio canale di ferita. Il numero di lame che si staccano dipende dalla velocità. Otto lame si staccheranno a velocità di impatto superiori a 2400fps, mentre a velocità inferiori, 4 lame più grandi si staccheranno fino a 1400fps.
Presentano un profilo elegante e liscio e sono dotati della esclusiva SealTite® Band di Cutting Edge. Questa tecnologia brevettata è una fascia leggermente più grande del diametro del calibro attorno al corpo del proiettile, che crea una tenuta completa quando il proiettile esce dalla cartuccia e mantiene quella tenuta fino a quando non esce dalla canna. Questo, a sua volta, aumenta l'accuratezza eliminando il gas che passa e riducendo l'accumulo di rame.
La linea Maximus è stata progettata anche per essere più pesante rispetto alla serie Raptor, rendendola più attraente per gli utenti di proiettili a nucleo di piombo tradizionali.
