For A Smooth Action & Consistent Trigger Pull; No Gunsmithing

Easy-to-install components let you fine-tune your Marlin lever gun for a smoother-operating action and more consistent trigger pull without making permanent alterations to the rifle. Simply replace the factory hammer spring and lever-plunger spring with the springs from the kit, then use the color-coded nylon bushings and adjustment washers to select one of seven hammer spring tension settings. The difference between each setting is about 8%, so you can get the hammer spring tension that suits you best simply by choosing the right combination of bushings and washers. Tough, friction-reducing nylon bushings keep hammer spring aligned and prevent it from crawling over the front of the strut or sliding sideways on the spring plate. Complete instructions illustrated with color photos include recommendations of bushing/washer combinations that typically work best for specific calibers.

SPECS: Zinc-coated steel springs, nylon bushings/washers. Kit contains hammer spring, lever-plunger spring, (2) white hammer spring bushings, (2) blue hammer spring bushings, (4) red adjuster washers, and instructions. Fits Marlin 1894, 1895, 336, 444, 39A.

Componenti facili da installare che ti permettono di affinare il tuo fucile a leva Marlin per un'azione più fluida e un grilletto più consistente senza apportare modifiche permanenti al fucile. Sostituisci semplicemente la molla del martello di fabbrica e la molla del perno della leva con le molle fornite nel kit, poi usa le boccole in nylon codificate a colori e le rondelle di regolazione per selezionare una delle sette impostazioni di tensione della molla del martello. La differenza tra ogni impostazione è circa dell'8%, quindi puoi ottenere la tensione della molla del martello che preferisci semplicemente scegliendo la giusta combinazione di boccole e rondelle. There are 7 ways you can set up the hammer spring, one of the springs of the kit. A chart tells you what setup is recommended for your caliber rifle. A lighter hammer leads to a lighter trigger pull. This makes a great combination with the Wild West Guns Happy Trigger. The combo gives you a lighter, crisp trigger, instead of the stiff, sloppy stock trigger. Also included in this kit is a lighter spring for the latch that is in the lever.

This is a complete kit. It also is highly adjustable. I set it light for my 1894 in 44 for cowboy shooting. A bit heavier on the 1895XLR in .308ME for deer hunting and a bit heavier yet for my 1895 custom in 50 alaskan that I use for dangerous game. The installation took 10 minutes on the first gun, then about 5 minutes on each of the other 2 guns. Works great with all brands of primers too.

cheap but effective (26/03/2013)

I installed this kit on my stainless 336 30-30 after my father recomended it to me. It now cycles much smother and faster. I recomend using the firmer settings as i had a couple of rounds fail to fire on the lighter seetings(CCI primers seem to be harder than others). We hunt hogs all winter in some pretty bad conditions and it has been very reliable in the field. Overall I would recomend this product to anyone.

Set it at level five of eight (recommended) on my 70's built 336 35 Remington. Had installed a new Marlin made hammer spring to cure a perennial misfire problem. Worked OK, but the trigger pull and the lever recycling were unbearably heavy. Used this kit and no misfires, lever action smooth and relatively light, and a good trigger pull. Success at last!

It made the a action a lot smoother. The hammer falls harder and stays centered. Before the hammer would slightly ride the Right side Of The Frame. The only reason it gets four stars is because my kit was missing one nylon bushing and the plunger spring is just a tad to weak to hold the lever up while I put rounds in the tube. But it is definitely worth 20 bucks. Combined with the trigger happy kit and I latex all the internal parts with flitz, this is the smoothest rifle I own.

We bought 3 of these kits to install on Model 39's. Might work well on a hunting rifle you only fire a few rounds out of. We use these guns for lever action silhouette competition. Every one acted the exact same way. They work perfectly when just installed then quit working. On a 40 round match, you'll get 25 shots then light hits and failures to fire. Makes no difference what combination of end caps or washers you use. The spring just gives up. Returning all 3 kits.

I bought for my Marlin 336 in 35 rem. Installed with bushings & washers for max power. Noticeably smoother & easier to thumb hammer back, however, I had several misfires with handloads using cci primers. I realize these primers tend to be harder than others. Put old spring back in, problem went away. Switching to softer primers & may retry with those AFTER deer season. Would suggest extensive test firing to make sure it works.
