Extra "Lug" Adds Recoil Resistance

CNC-machined base spreads recoil to help keep scopes, even heavy ones, on the gun, and, precisely zeroed from shot to shot. Angled screw wedges against the receiver opening to provide another recoil lug to divert recoil away from the base and mounting screws. Tolerances for straightness and flatness are held within .002" to create a solid platform for your optics. Bedding-compound inletting on mount bottom helps you get a perfect, base-to-receiver fit. Self-centering Torx® screws help prevent slipping during use. Accepts Picatinny and Weaver-style rings.

SPECS: Steel, black-oxide finish. Length approximately equal to action length, 9/16" (14mm) high. Recoil lug screw is ¼"-28, mounting screws are 6-48.

Un "Lug" aggiuntivo per una maggiore resistenza al rinculo

Base lavorata a CNC che distribuisce il rinculo per aiutare a mantenere i cannocchiali, anche quelli pesanti, sull'arma e, con precisione azzerata da un colpo all'altro. Una vite inclinata si incastra contro l'apertura del ricevitore per fornire un altro punto di appoggio per il rinculo, deviandolo lontano dalla base e dalle viti di montaggio. Le tolleranze per la rettilineità e la planarità sono mantenute entro .002" per creare una piattaforma solida per la tua ottica. L'incasso per il composto di bedding sulla parte inferiore della base aiuta a ottenere un perfetto adattamento base-ricevitore. Le viti Torx® autocentranti aiutano a prevenire lo scivolamento durante l'uso. Accetta anelli stile Picatinny e Weaver.

SPECIFICHE: Acciaio, finitura black-oxide. Lunghezza approssimativamente pari alla lunghezza dell'azione, 9/16" (14mm) di altezza. La vite del rinculo è ¼"-28, le viti di montaggio sono 6-48.

Excellent Scope Rail (07/09/2012)

Perfect fit on Savage 10FCP-K. Very pleased with the mounting rail and hardware. The extra lug is not even mentioned in the instruction sheet so documentation needs work, Mr. Farrell. The finish is impeccable and the overall precision is impressive. I used Farrell steel rings, high version, which had more than enough clearance for a 50mm bell and probably should have used standard height rings. But oversized bolt handle on law enforcement model would be very close to standard mount, so probably a good decision. Very pleased.

Awesome Scope Base (24/02/2010)

Top-of-the-line scope rail without an outrageous price. This is a very sturdy mount comparable to, if not exceeding in quality, to more commonly known brands.
The fit was superb, and although it probably did not require bedding, it is recommended. Built-in groove on the receiver/base contact points for bedding material is a huge plus. The adjustable recoil lug is another great feature. Easy to follow instructions makes installation a breeze.
As always, make sure you buy "Made in the USA".

I installed this mount on a Remington 700SS 5-R Milspec rifle (.308). Wasn't satisfied with the Weaver 2-piece mounts I started with. Installation required bedding of the mount to the action but it was an overnight process. Results were immediate. First trip to the range yielded groups that were only slightly larger than the bullet. After 300+ rounds the mount is as solid as when it was installed. Using Leupold QD Scope rings I saw no indication that I needed to lap them. They fit perfect and alignment was dead on. I would like for it to be a little longer with more room both front and rear so I could spread the scope rings more. Also need room for an anti-cant level and cosine indicator. Current length limits mounting locations for these accessories. Not a deal breaker, just nice to have.

I highly recommend this product. Great quality, great performance, reasonable price.

Superior product on all my Guns (13/05/2011)

I put these mounts on all my custom rifles and shotguns. Ken has made a few custom mounts for me in the past. If you follow the directions and bed to the receiver they are rock solid. The extra recoil screw takes all the recoil removing the stress from the 6-48tpi screws. I use his rings also in conjunction with the base.
