In its Deviant Hunter action, Defiance Machine developed what it considers to be the ultimate hunting-rifle action, which is machined from 416 stainless steel complete with an integrated scope base with a narrowed center that allows for easy top-loading of the magazine. The action features a single scope-ring slot in the rear of the receiver and four slots at the front of the receiver. The Defiance Machine Deviant Hunter action can be had in a number of configurations. The Long Action Magnum model comes with a .545 bolt face and is designed for use with hinged floorplates and Wyatt's Ultra Mag and standard internal box magazines. The Long Action model comes with a .595 bolt face and is designed for use with Rigby-length internal box magazines. A Medium Length action is equipped with a .408 bolt face. Each Defiance Machine Deviant Hunter action is outfitted with a one-piece bolt made from 4340 chrome-moly steel. The barrel threads are designed for use with Remington 700-style barrels, and the integral scope mount features 20 MOA of built-in elevation. The action also features an integral recoil lug.

Ogni azione Deviant Hunter di Defiance Machine è dotata di un bullone monopezzo realizzato in acciaio chrome-moly 4340. I filetti della canna sono progettati per l'uso con canne in stile Remington 700, e il montaggio per ottica integrato presenta 20 MOA di elevazione incorporata. L'azione include anche un attacco per il rinculo integrato.
