Small pistols can present big problems under stress reloads. On top of limited magazine capacity, undersized controls can hamper-or even prevent-a proper reload. The stakes are clear in that event. Don't run the risk….install a Vickers Tactical Slide Stop. It features the same positive V-shape with deep serrations that enables fast manipulation, in both directions, found on the original VT Slide Stop. A huge improvement to the Glock 42 and 43. Fits Glock Model 42 and 43. Will not fit Glock Models 25 or 28. Reshaped thumb pad with deep serrations, allows easy slide lock and release, even with gloves. Oltre alla capacità limitata del caricatore, i comandi ridotti possono ostacolare o addirittura impedire un corretto ricaricamento. Le conseguenze in quella situazione sono chiare. Non correre il rischio... installa un Vickers Tactical Slide Stop. Presenta la stessa forma positiva a V con profonde scanalature che permettono una rapida manipolazione, in entrambe le direzioni, trovata sull'originale VT Slide Stop. Un enorme miglioramento per la Glock 42 e 43. Adatto per il modello Glock 42 e 43. Non compatibile con i modelli Glock 25 o 28. La placchetta riformata per il pollice con profonde scanalature permette un facile blocco e rilascio della carrellata, anche con i guanti. Realizzato in acciaio cromo molibdeno 4130 stampato con precisione, con finitura nera anti-riflesso.

It works...but I have issues. (05/08/2017)

This is a well made slide release. It is much easier to manipulate and is just the right size for my thumb. It was easy to install and the overall quality is good. So on the reason why I bought this item.

I know that it is advertised as a slide stop, but lets be honest, it's a slide release. To my knowledge glock teaches that their pistols use a slide stop. Meaning that racking the slide during a slide lock reload is the "correct way" to complete that type of reload with the factory slide stop. The factory slide stop is just that, a slide stop. It is not intended to be used as a release. Hence the upgrade to this product. This product allows a much easier reload from slide lock. Also manually locking the slide is much easier as well.

Now this may just be a defect, but the one I received caused failures to feed. This product does not lock the slide far enough back to perform a slide lock reload from partially loaded magazines(3 or less rounds). Is that really a big deal? Maybe. The way I see it, it makes a pretty big "what if" case. If for what ever reason I had to load a partially loaded magazine from slide lock in a fight and I used this slide release, it would jam. Could I just remember to rack the slide? Maybe. The point is that it takes a lot of confidence out of the firearm. I need to know that when I load a mag of whatever capacity it is at and I hit the slide stop or rack the slide its going to feed. For me, that's with the factory part.

I have attached pictures to show my findings. The first three pictures are with the TANGODOWN slide stop. The last two are with the factory slide stop.

Make the slide stop much more usable (01/08/2018)

I have have VT slide stops on most of my glocks and I love the functionality they add. I was worry that on the 43 it would stick out too far, but itâs far less pronounced than the full size model.
