The company holds its receivers to tight tolerances within military specifications, so all mil-spec components will function in this lower, and the receiver is compatible with all mil-spec 9mm upper receivers. To enhance its durability, the receiver is treated with an all-black, Class 2 hard-anodized finish. The KE Arms KE-9 Lower Receiver does not feature last-round bolt hold-open, unless you have a linkage system incorporated into your upper receiver. The company warns users that you can use the standard bolt catch to manually lock the bolt to the rear, but the Glock magazine followers will not actuate the catch.
